Re: Rem Lee 1899 sporter

Thank you. This .303" Rem Lee is in Canada. It is regular grade with Lyman sight on cocking piece. Were the 303s in a distinct serial # block?

I recently examined a Rem Lee M1899 sporter in .303" British.
Is there a record of how many M1899 sporters were made in each calibre?

Has anyone ever examined a 14 1/2 DCP with British commercial proof maks? I have examined M92, M94 Winchesters and Rem 14 1/2 with the DCP mark and not one had British commercial proofs which is required on arms in private hands in Britain.

Rolling Block 7.62x54R

Did Remington produce the M1910 (No5) rolling block for Russia in 7.62x54R cal in WWI? Have a reference in Layman's book to it but the members of a Russian arms collectors forum have not heard of it. TIA.

What was the total number of Remington Lee Model 1899 rifles produced? I have seen figures of 7000 total and 7000 for sporters alone.
