Re: model 722 .308

What size is the compass, I have two of them. Mine measure about .660 in the body and the top a little larger so it would act as a stop when installed. Think I got them from either Dixie Gun Works or Track of the Wolf. I have seen at least three guns with these installed in a gunshop in Northern WI,...

Re: M700 Lawsuits?

I have used M700s since 1966, and they are fine rifles. When this controversy started I followed it and thought it was a lot of BS. Fast forward to opening day in WI this year. My daughter shoots a M700 Classic in 243 that was purchased in 1984, and has not been adjusted in any way. When loading her...

Re: 513 trigger adjust

The trigger on the 513T is a bit tricky, and it cannot be set very low, 2.5 to 3 pounds is about it without some gunsmithing. Before going to a gunsmith it might be a good idea to check a few things first. If you haven't taken it apart and cleaned it completely it may have a lot of gunk and dried oi...

Re: Remington WW2 rifling changes

Not sure, but 03A3's made by Rem and Smith-Corona had two groove rifling, the rifling pattern eliminated two ofthe normal 4 grooves and thus speeded barrel production. Don't know if this was a Rem idea or not, but see if the rifling jigs are for only cutting two grooves.

Re: Remington Mohawk 600 Mannlicher stock

I remember seeing them in the Rod & Gun club at Patch Barracks in the early 80's, kick myself for not getting one. As I recall the price was in the low $200 range.

Re: Scoremaster 511: light trigger to won't cock at all.

The other posibilities are the trigger spring has weakened, or the mating surface on the firing pin is worn. I had this problem on a 513T, replaced the sear and had to stone the firing pin to get rid of burrs and also remove some burrs from the bolt head. Check the firing pin notch. If it looks okay...

Re: .32 Rem Handloads

I have an old Lyman 45th edition manual that has reloading data for the 32Rem. PM mean address and I will copy it and send it to you.

Are you talking about the weight of pull or overtravel screw. Is it possible that the screw you think was lost is still inside the action and jamming parts? Did you strip the action, if so did you tighten the sear pivot screw and forget to back it off a 1/2 turn?

Mil 722

Possible, but some items are curious. Biggest issue for me is the restamp of caliber, why 308 instead of 7.62. Is it a 308? You may need to take a chamber cast to be sure, at least try to chamber a fired 308 case. If it was converted from 300 to 308, why didn't they strike out the SAV stamp. I can't...
