Carrier is the same on 12, 16, and 20 Standard. Operating handles were blued. The new ones have a dimple on the bottom and the back so you can't get them mixed up and lose one. Like I did. :lol: So the older style just has the dimple on the bottom. Good to know. Now I have another question- sorry- ...

16gauge 1100 parts questions0 op handle and carrier assembly
I just picked up a1968 16ga 1100. Some previous owner had apparently drilled and tapped the right side of the reciever for some sort of mount. 4 small screws near the top of the right side. Beat me what it is, but the price on the gun was good and everything else is nice. Now, a couple of questions....

I'm far, far from being an expert, but I didn't think the barrels on the early 9 serration guns were marked .380. Maybe you have some sort of mixmaster. I wonder. I hope someone chimes in.

When did the Remington logo get added to the Model 51 frame?
My 51 doesn't have Remington stamped on the frame. The only place it says Remington is on top of the slide and on the grips.

Hi all. New member here. I recently purhased an older 1100, 20 ga, standard weight. The serial number ends in X, with no numerical prefix. The serial number itself is 84, xxx, so I'm assuming it's fairly early on in the production. Do you guys know if the wood stocks are walnut, and have always been...
