ok well this gun has W R R what appears to be a three then D F 6. The "3" may actually be more like an ampersand symbol (&). Not sure but the serial number is 7081, and I apologize if this appears as arguing....I am loving the information. Thanks

Ok, well then allow me to show my ignorance of these guns. On this website, I located barrel markings which show it to be from Oct.'35. where would the serial number be?

I purchased a Remington Model 141 .35 cal. rifle at an auction last night. After a little research, I believe it was manufactured in October 1935, and the serial number is 7081. It is in what I would consider good/very good condition, and I paid $290 for it. Would this be considered a valuable rifle...
