Tom: I live in Washington State, originally from Minnesota,Goodhue area. I want to thank you for the info you gave me on the 14 1/2 R. The 1924 year of production makes more sense, if sense can be made of the way Remington did things. Also, if you are looking for more 14,14 1/2's to add to your data...

Factory 14 1/2 R modifications?

I have a 14 1/2 R 44-40 SN 22752 that I think was made in 1914. (Last patent date November 19, 1912 with the flush ammo indicator Rem-UMC). What has me puzzled is the firing pin has been changed to a 1920's and later hook and lever style along with the trigger guard which has the serial number stamp...

Preserving paper goods

I recently purchased a Model 14(1927),with the original box,sales receipt and owners manual.The box and paper goods are in very good condition.What would be the proper way to store and preserve this kind of material?
