Re: Model 700 BDL Baby Magnum Production Totals
I did search, yes, and saw the posts, thanks... "about 1100", or "about 1500" has been stated often. I was simply asking if anyone from the research team had more recently discovered actual numbers rather than estimates.

Model 700 BDL Baby Magnum Production Totals
Hi, Does anyone have exact factory production totals for the 6.5mm and .350 magnums in the 1969 BDL's? It's usually stated as about 1500 of each, but I've also seen very specific numbers (but from questionable sources). Does the RSA research team have any real numbers from Remington? As of this week...

Re: Remington 721ac and 721adl
I have most every Remington catalog/brochure/price list that there was from the 1950's and it appears that they changed the name from AC and B grades to ADL and BDL in 1955. From the literature and my own experience, there isn't any difference. I suspect they just wanted to incorporate the "Del...

Re: 721 722 725 dates of mfg
I picked up a 722AC today in excellent condition. The AC's and B's sure don't grow on trees! It's a high-comb .257, serial number 25988x, date code R YY, November, 1952. I'll include a picture as many have never seen one...

Re: Custom Shop Stock, Pressed Checkering?
It looks as if it may have started life as a regular post-1977 BDL stock with machine cut checkering, but was then modified by a non-factory individual. The pad was DEFINITELY not done at the factory, let alone the Custom Shop. I can see that it wasn't ground on the stock which they would have done....

Re: Sticky Recoil pad on Reminton 700
Remington had trouble with their early R3 pads as you've discovered. I've called Remington customer service on a number of 700's with the same issue and they have made good on the problem each time. For synthetic stocked guns they've sent me pre-fit replacement pads that no longer break down at no c...

Re: 721 722 725 dates of mfg
Hi Guys, Long time member and lurker - First post but had to share this... I came across a rare one at the Wanenmacher show in Tulsa a couple of weeks ago. I found a model 721 in the back rack at a table full of non-Remingtons and reached for it to see if it was the usual 06 or .270. But it took a l...
