I will find the barrel stamp on the model 8 this weekend, but this page: http://remingtonsociety.com/rsa/questions/FR02
Unless I am reading that wrong, it shows my serial number was built between 18 Jan, 1930 and 22 February, 1930.

On the great 8 site, I found info that says Feb 1930 for the model 8. Thanks for the info on the model 12.
