Dave, REM725 is right, you've got a rare item there of special significance to those of us interested in the 721/2 rifles. Lacy would likely be interested to know about your rifle, please don't ever scrap that one out! The flat trigger on your rifle was the first type that seems to have been changed...

Of all the 660's I've seen, they all had the rear sight that Remington used from 1958-1973 on many of their models. Remington is well known for standardizing parts to reduce inventory. I'm about 99% sure that the sight you saw on the older ADL will fit your rifle(holes will line up). You occaisional...

From you're description, it's probably only worth 3-500, depending a lot on how much you want it. There was one on AA recently for over 8-900 but it was like new. The scope won't add much unless it's unique, like a good Unertl, and the checkering was factory standard on all 725's which doesn't in it...

It's really only worth what you're willing to pay for it. I've seen at least two available per month the past six months on several different sites. They averaged $400 for less than 90% to $600 for 95%+. The .222 seems to sell fairly well for 722 rifles. If this guy is the orginal owner and he's tak...

Some of the B models have the letter B stamped or engraved after the model # on the receiver. You can veiw a pic of a B model with a high comb stock at http://www.randgfirearms.com ( I think it's still there)
