Just for comparison; my 1100 was purchased new in late-1974 and has an "M" prefix before the s/n, which number is 428xxxV. Due the fact I rarely take it out of the case, it is in perfect condition. One question: Are there grade marks on these guns and where do you find them?

I would like to know the d.o.m. of my model 17. It has s/n 19866 marked on frame and barrel. "BO" is above he s/n on the frame. What does this mean? There are two marks on the side of the barrel opposite of the s/n: The typical Remington anchor and within an oblong circle the letters "...

Have you received any replies to your Dec. inquiry. I have a model 17 in 20 guage. It is in very good condition. It has a choke on the end of the barrel. Reply if you are interested in this gun.
