Thanks so much. Where can I find the article you referenced? I own my father's S/N 255979. Always thought it was 1921.

I am looking at a Model 11 S/N 144543. There is no letter code on the gun. In fact, the S/N is the only readable information there. Society mfg. page won't let me look without a 3 letter code. Can anyone help me out?

I know there must be a way but looking at the society date page, I am only provided letter codes. I have my father's Remington Model 11 and it only has a number - 255979 on it. I am trying to determine when it was made. He bought it used in 1946 or so.
