Re: 870 Sight Bead
You are most correct. I did not focus upon the last part of Virginian's reply. Please accept my apologies. The coating I will useful is Durablue, a version of Duracoat, that is applied by spraying. I do not have hot bluing equipment and prefer not to use cold bluing. I will contact the manufacturer ...

870 Sight Bead
I own a 1966 Wingmaster that for which I refurbished the wood. Now, I plan to Durablue the metal. I need to remove the front sight bead, but it is proving to be difficult. I have been unable to make it move wth a pair of needle nose pliars. Does it in fact unscrew? I've seen a specialized tool for i...

How is it that the Remington personnel answer of 1929 be so wrong? Are they unreliable?

Inconsistanies Dating Model 11
I need help resolving inconsistent information dating the manufacture of my 12 gauge Remington model 11 auto loader. I was given the shotgun when I was in high school sometime during 1963 or 1964. I do not know anything about the gun's history before that. I used it for doves and duck back then. I b...

Model 11 Stuck Forestock
Took my 12 gauge Model 11 out for its twice per year 25 rounds of trap. I have field cleaned this gun many times. This time, however, I am unable to remove either the barrel or forestock. The forestock is slightly breaking at the end of the receiver. It cracked in 2 places & a small chip is miss...

Finish On Model 11
I own a Remington Model 11 made in 1937. Can anyone tell what finish was used for it? It hat a prior owner, but I have owned it since 1964. I presume the stock finish is original.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I don't know exactly the part you are referring to, but I have a Remington Model 11 & I ordered a magazine spring suppressor from Numerich Gun Parts website. They have schematics identifying all parts of the Remington 11, making it easy to order.

Model 11 Magazine Spring Follower
My 1937 Model 11's magazine spring follower does not restrain the magazine spring securely. I don't know if my nomenclature is correct, but I am talking about the round piece of metal that has a small open space preventing it from being a completed met circle. This device fits above the magazine spr...

Re: Choke Size of Model 11
Thanks for your reply. It gives me a place to begin for getting an answer to my question. As for posting a picture, that may challenge my technical abilities. I don't know about this forum, but instructions for others presume a PC format whereas mine is an Apple format. They aren't much help for peo...

Choke Size of Model 11
I have a Remington Model 11 12 gauge semiauto. I was told it was manufactured in 1937. What would be the choke size of the barrel?
