I just won an gunbroker auction on an L serial number 1100 12ga. Would like to have it professionally done.. Any suggestions backed up with satisfied results?

That clears it up pretty well for me, appreciate your explanation. And yes that 1100 table was/is misleading without including the 3/4's part on the 2" as it made me think of some other dimensional measurement I was unable to determine.
