I know this is not related to Rem. Shotguns but what got me started was when I completely disassembled a CZ-82. I followed instructions on-line but reassembly was not totally explained. If it weren't for the pictures I'd decided to take, I never would have gotten it back together.

I've always found that taking pictures before and during disassembly is very beneficial. Just got a set from http://www.Macongunstocks.com I didn't go with Gunstocks Inc because they don't make the right forend for the 1894. Only forends for the 1900 which will not work. I know this is an old thread but I'm trying to track down a replacement buttplate for a Remington 1894 double that I am restoring for a client. I followed the link for the fella that makes replacement buttplates but cannot tell if the one pictured has the right style with the pointed tip at the top..
