Maybe these will help. If they show up. Lousy at this picture posting.

Elliot over under deringer
Hi guys, Another oddity in the deringer department. I've never seen an Elliot over under with NO serial number. This is a Model 2 two line nickel 90% so all the tool marks are clearly visible, no number barrels or frame. Also, the address is stamped half off the rib. Ever seen anything like that??

Re: New Remington Elliot .32 missing a screw
If there's a gunsmith in the area and he'll mess with it you can probably look through his junk screw box and find something that will work. That's where I found the last one I needed. Not sure what it came out of but threads were correct and it looked OK.

Re: Over under Derringer.
Nope. I've got nine of these from all periods and they all have a grip frame number at the bottom or top of the left side. Hammer knurling and hinge area looks 1867 or 8 and frame is engraved in usual style. Barrels are side ribbed marked with extractor but don't seem to match frame (no engraving)al...

Re: Need help identifying 22 cal Derringer
Looks like a Lombard, Morgan & Clapp, or Bacon Arms pistol that has been remarked. There is no known instance of a pistol like this being made or marketed by Remington.

Re: Smoot No. 2 remove cylinder help
Best way I've found to get smoot parts is buy clunkers and scavenge the part you need and sell the rest. Watch Gunbroker, they come up often. You can usually buy one for a $100-150, get the part you need and sell the rest for what you paid for it.

Re: Smoot No. 2 remove cylinder help
Glad you go it apart. To the best of my knowledge the recoil shield revolves with the cylinder. I have owned many first, second, and third models but haven't had the pleasure of owning a first model first issue.

Re: Smoot No. 2 remove cylinder help
Hello, There should be a guide for the ejector rod which is also attached to the cylinder pin and used to pull it out. These are sometimes broken off and if so you should be able to push the cylinder pin out from the rear. Yes, the recoil shield is screwed to the frame except on the very first ones.

Re: Dug up 1861 Remington Army Revolver in Richmond Area
Hello. First of all it appears to be an 1858 New Model. Second, DO NOT try to clean it. It took a hundred-fifty years to get that way, leave it alone. First thing somebody does wrong is think "I can clean this up and make it work". Does it appear to be .44 or.36 caliber? That would determi...

Re: Is it a Remington?
Hard to tell without pictures but the 500 pound Gorilla in the room notes that Navy Arms is in New Jersey. Could be an aged replica which would also explain the weird serial number. They've been making these for 60 years so there's some really old used replicas out there. Just a thought.

Re: Remington over under derringer
Another of the never ending questions on the Remington over/under .41 Derringers. I have just purchased one of these with the 2 line E.Remington & Sons markings. It has the extractor on the RIGHT side which I've never seen to my recollection. Have I just overlooked this or what? Serial number i...
