Re: Remington Lee 1899 Sporter

Spud,
I just spent 30 minutes on an answer to your question and it was lost in transmission.
Send me an e mail. at Stokes3937@Charter.net and I will send you the information that you need from the April 1980 issue of the American Riflrman.

WTB 1899 Remington Lee Magazine

WTB I am looking for a box magazine for a 1899 Remington Lee .Serial # 101858. The barrel is marked .30 USA which I believe is .30/40. It appears that this was one of the 2000 shipped to the the Michigan National Guard.
Any leads would be very helpful.

Numrich Arms has the parts that you are looking for. Both the cover and the screw.
You can find them online.

Re: Model 141 Magazine feeding problem

Problem Solved, If you have been reading the previous posts you will know that my problem was an undersized follower. Thanks to Jim I found that the diameter should be at least .485. Solution: I first cut a section out of 45/70 cartridge case. Should have left enough material to extend over both rid...

Re: Model 141 Magazine feeding problem

Jim, I agree with your assesment. I removed the loading door and it looks like it has had very little use. The follower on my M 141 is 2" long. The diameter of the first ring (closest to the bullet) is .469 The diameter of the second ring is .474 Is this consistant with other .35 Caliber Mod. 1...
