I grew up in Erie, PA and the Rem 14 and 141 rifles were still being used quite regularly in the middle 60's for deer and bear hunting. I brought my Rem 14 .35 with me to Savannah, GA in 1968 when I was in the Army-ended up trading it for a Win Model 12-still have that Model 12..wish I had that Rem ...

Early Rem 141-No "Gamemaster" stamp on receiver

I recently acquired a minty Rem. 141, Serial 39XX, which, I believe, puts the manufactured date at 1936. I know that the early 141's, like mine, did not have the "Gamemaster" stamping on the left side of the receiver. Can anyone tell me when Remington started stamping the 141 with the &quo...
