Re: Loading gate 14 1/2

Thanks, I'll try that. It seems the loading gate is sticking up too much and won't go into the receiver. I thought it might be held in by that pin.

Re: Loading gate 14 1/2

The loading gate opened while cycling a round and it's jammed against the receiver and I cannot pull the forearm up to move it.

Thanks

Loading gate 14 1/2

While shooting my 14 1/2 upon ejection the loading gate opened and became lodged with the receiver. It will not cycle to extract the spend cartridge. How can I get the spent cartridge out?

Thanks, Don

Re: Remington 14 escutcheon

Great $20 for shipping, how much for the escutcheons. I can give you a personal check and you wait until it clears.

Thanks, Don

Re: Remington 14 escutcheon

Well thanks a bunch. They are for a 14 1/2 carbine serial number 70,394. The fore arm is split, lengthwise, completely. Any help there? Do you know why the front sights on 14 1/2's are so different than standard 14's? Are any of the escutcheon for sale? Don Whitley 325 Speedwell Forge Rd Lititz, PA ...

Remington 14 escutcheon

Does anyone know where I can find the escutcheons for the model 14 forearm. Or something that can replace them.

I don't even see them on the schematic.

Thanks, Don

Re: Model 14 forearm

Sorry. I do have my grandfathers 14 in 35. I also have a 14 with a TNS plus a regular cross bolt safety in 35. I have a 14 carbine in 25. I have 2 14 1/2's one in 44 and one in 38. I just picked up that 14 1/2 carbine in 38.

Thanks for the help.

7 mm rolling block.

I have a 7 mm rolling block carbine, 2 questions.

Does it shoot regular 7 x 57 or 7 x 57 rimmed?

It is missing the metal front of the hand guard that secures the handguard. Anyone around have one for sale?

14 1/2 carbine

I just purchased a 14 1/2 carbine in 38-40 and I have a few questions. Serial number on receiver and slide is 70394, but on trigger housing 12896. Is this normal? I have several model 14's and 14 1/2's. They all have the holes drilled and tapped for a tang sight. My new one does not. Is this normal?...
