... still of the opinion that it didn't leave the factory that way. It's just hard to image putting that short of a barrel on a "standard" magnum rifle of that caliber. ... and the 660s were way ahead of there time and are now collectable. The 600 and 660s rifles were also the first rifles to be chambered in a short magnum caliber 350 Rem Mag and the 6.5 Rem Mag.

... 3" Steel Shot barrel on a gun like yours and they are in business. There are very few differences in reality between a 'regular' and a 'magnum' Model 1100, but the biggie is the Magnum action sleeve, and the only way to get one of those anymore is on a magnum gun.

To clear this up the 35 Remington is classified as a brush gun. The shooter needs to make the decision of a good shooting situation. The 35 is an EXCELLENT caliber, but I would step up to the 350 rem magnum and then you could leave all the other guns in the closet.
