Re: HELP: sight options for my 7600 in .308
I hunt mixed hardwoods and sometimes you can see a deer moving a hundred yards away . My old eyes don't focus like they did when they were 20-15 . I don't shoot immature deer either , haven't in a long time . A scope is also good for evaluating antlers too , so you know exactly what you're looking a...

Re: REMINGTON MODEL 11 HELP.
They must have changed the rings when they started offering the Cutts Compensator . I recently refinished a 1946 16 Ga. and it was as I said , concave and convex . I do love a day when I learn something , it looks like that change took place somewhere between 1938 and 1941 .

Re: REMINGTON MODEL 11 HELP.
Actually the friction ring doesn't have a flat side ! It has a convex side and a concave side . The last one I worked on still had the instructions stuck to the forearm (under Barrel) . I can't remember the settings though , well actually I may , just not sure enough to pass on . I would rather disp...

Re: Please help ID this 38-40 14 1/2
Looks like you have the year of Manufacture correct . As far as value , I'd suggest going to GunBroker.com and checking closed/sold auctions on that model . You'll know what they are selling for , starting bids on open auctions are not an indicator of value , only what the seller would like to sell ...

Re: Academy Sports dropped my Model 12A
Looks like it was a school day all around ! I started working on a dairy farm when I was 12 years old , for $.50 a day plus lunch . In the summer these days were 12 hours long . Morons do breed and that's a sad fact , made all the sadder by most of them being Liberals . That young man that couldn't ...

Re: Academy Sports dropped my Model 12A
I would suggest that in the future , you take your vintage firearms to a real gun shop and not a big box store , staffed by minimum wage morons ! You have some culpability here too , it's just not going to cost you anything .

Re: mod. 14 butt plate ?
You didn't say what the buttplate material was . If it's steel it will be serial numbered to the gun on the back side . If it has original checkering it would be a premier grade and should have had better than average wood also . A picture of the forend would provide would provide a clue !

Re: Help on Rem. 141 rear peep sight
Rickster , first production 141s had some model 14 barrels on them , until that inventorey was used up . None of these 141s were stamped Gamemaster ! I have heard that there are a few 141s out there wearing 18" Mod. 14 carbine barrels too , plus a few in .25 Cal , just to use up the barrels on ...

Re: HELP: sight options for my 7600 in .308
Williams has a receiver sight for the 7600 that will work with your stock front sight . It's the WGRS . I like to have some magnificatian because we ( like you ) have antler restrictions . I had to let a buck walk onetime because I couldnt tell if it was legal due to a Red Dot with no magnificatian ...

Rem. Mod. 11
I have a 16 Ga. Mod. 11 that I can't get the bolt out of . The gun dates to Dec. 1946 , and all S/Ns match . The receiver doesn't have a cutout in the ejection port for the latch/link pin to pass through . The hole on the left side of the receiver doesn't line up with the latch/link pin either . Has...
