Re: Get out the hack saw and steel wool!
Like you, I am set up to cast/load 45-70, and wanted a RB in that caliber so I could shoot it cheap. Scored one recently in 45-70. Looking at your carbine sized rifle, I would turn it into a 38-55 ( I have a Marlin 336 waiting to go to JES to become a 38-55). Smaller octagan bbl (maybe 5/8" acr...

Re: Model 14 barrel address/barrel code
in simple terms I understand that there was a barrel of barrels and a barrel of receivers... They pulled one from each and made the rifle. Mine has one part made in 1928 and one part made in 1932 based on codes/numbers. Been told this was ordinary in the day

Re: MODEL 14 & 141 RELOADING/CRIMPING / Bulletin #9
and then... a (dumb)? Can you use 32 Winchester Special dies to load 32 Remington? with obviously a specific 32 Rem shellholder... Thanx! Update... Looking at the specs for both. Would appear NOT! 32 Rem seems to be a few thou smaller in key areas, plus a diff shoulder, which means that the 32 WS di...

Re: my new 81
Love the model. had one in 300 Sav and it stomped the snot out of me on the shoulder end, as everyone said it would. I just didn't believe a 300 Savage auto would have anywhere near that much felt recoil, but my rebuilt shoulder flat didn't like it. Curious how one in 35 Rem is with felt recoil.

only reason I have passed on 30 and 32 Rems I have found... Glad Mdl 14 I got from you is 35 Rem. And found another one/Mdl 141 I am picking up - also in 35 Rem. Ammo still available and use brass for the Marlin!

Re: M760 300 Savage
Have it's cousin! Dec 1952 760 ADL Deluxe in 300 Savage. Same basic shape, except had been drilled for a Griffin and Howe side mount... WHY when it was factory D&T'd I have NO clue, unless it was a REALLY old untrusting crusty cuss who had almost zero faith in scopes, to the tune of ruining a ri...

Re: .32 Remington caliber bullet question
I just bought some 32 Speer 170 FN HotCors. Listed at .321". I would be happy to mic them and post exact size if you like. Having said that, if it were me, I would shoot any of the .321-.323 bullets - as Jim said.

760 ADL in 35 Rem
LGS has a 760 ADL in 35 Remington, prob mid-50's - didn't check date codes but looks almost identical to the 1953 ADL in 300 Savage I have. Prob 80%, normal dings and scratches etc. sling posts front and rear are there. Plus for me is that I am set up for 35 Rem. have a Marlin 336 and Rem 14 in 35 R...
