Re: Putting a scope on a 141
Mine has a Pachmeyer swing away type mount. It does pretty well holding zero, and allows the use of the open sights, if you want them. http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Detail.aspx?pid=574750&filter=574750 See link above. I think you need the base and mount. 2 pieces. I would call them to veri...

Re: Hornady flex tip bullets
"NOTHING but round nose ammunition will function properly and OACL is critical. Spitzer, Spire Point, RNFP, and any other variation will not function in the unique feed system of the Model 14." I think that sums it up pretty good. Jim is the resident "expert" on these matters, an...

Model 11 and Browning A-5 Recoil Springs interchange?
Specifically in 20 ga.
My dad has a 20 gauge that needs a new recoil spring. Remington versions are tough to find.
Does the Browning A-5 light 20 ga. recoil spring interchange?
Thanks!

Re: Need some help!
CK would be it (on the barrel). No need to remove the stock.
February to April is a pretty short shelf time for Remington. Not unheard of, though.

http://www.remingtonsociety.com/rsa/questions/FR07 Feb. 1941 - This is when the receiver was made. There should be a date code (2 or 3 letters) on the barrel. Assuming the barrel serial number matches the receiver, this will be the date the gun was assembled. http://www.remingtonsociety.com/rsa/ques...

Gunsmithing manuals on auction sites
Can anyone reccommend a gunsmith, or field service, manual for the Remington Model 11 from one of the sellers on Ebay?
I have seen 3 and they all seem different. Is one better than the other?
Thanks.

Figured that. Saw the mistake and wanted to "claim" it before anyone tried to stick you to it. I will pass, as I have one for my model 8 (brass).
Might get more response in the classifieds, though. Good luck!

Re: difference between .32-20 & .32 rem
A LOT! The .32 Remington is a rifle cartridge, similar in ballistics (and basic shape) to the 32 Winchester Special. The Winchester has a Rim, where the Remington does not. It was made for the pump (model 14 and 141) and semi auto model 8 and 81. The 32-20 is a pistol cartridge, AKA the 32 WCF. It w...
