Re: Model 32

Who was your grandfather the skeet champion. I research early skeet shooters and would like to know who was shooting the 32. Larry Del Grego and Son in Ilion, New York are the only firm that specializes in Model 32 repair.

Broken 121. Help Wanted

My 121 will not lock shut. If I play with it enough, it will lock once in twenty times. What is my problem? Thanks for replying.

Re: Model 121 Routledge Problem

OK, guys, my 121 doesn't lock shut. I can work the slide back and forth without it locking in the fire position. What is going on? Thanks for the reply. I have owned 121s before, so I know how they are supposed to work.

Model 121 Routledge Problem

I recently was lucky enough to find a 121 Routledge, code XRR which should be December 1946. I can't wait to shoot it, but the action will not lock closed. There is a little resistance to opening, but the slide will pull back without firing. The gun will cock and dry fire, but I'm afraid to fire it ...

Re: Chart of Model 10 Serial Number.

I was able to access the information Researcher mentioned. I am also grateful for the information that indicates that my gun was made in 1913.

Thank you for the information, both responders. However, the information Researcher describes doesn't seem to be available on the home page at this time.

Chart of Model 10 Serial Number.

I remember seeing a factory list of Model 10 serial numbers by date of manufacture. Does anyone know how to access this chart? I am particularly looking for an approximate date of manufacture for a Model 10, serial number 114,105.

Re: 141 Peerless Grade D Questions

Umcpumpgun, be careful using the "all" word when describing D Grade 141 checkered forends. My old Carl Ennis engraved E Grade 141 has a factory original grooved forend. Unusual, but not unheard of.

Re: Model 32

I would like to think that we are looking at a Krieghoff, not a Remington, but the forearm configuration is more Remington than Krieghoff. It is probably a borrowed gun. Was that picture taken at Camp David or somewhere else?

Re: Model 31 Skeet, vent rib with Cutts

I agree it is a choke marking, not a grade marking. I guess, if there are Cutts guns with no choke marking, we are to assume that Cutts guns with choke markings are retrofitted with the Cutts rather than factory installations.

Re: Model 1100 20 gauge "sleeved" to 28 gauge???

The Simmons conversion is a 28 gauge barrel inserted in a larger breech section. A Claude Purbaugh conversion is a 28 gauge liner inside of a full length 20 gauge Remington barrel. I think the internal action and magazine conversions are similar. The Purbaugh conversions often have no markings with ...

Re: Model 31 Skeet, vent rib with Cutts

I have not seen a Model 31 with Cutts without a choke marking. I am assuming that the Cutts installations at the factory were on barrels already marked with the SKEET designation. Am I right or wrong?

Re: Anyone Shooting a Remington 31 Skeet Gun

I sold my 12 vent rib and 20 gauge Model 31 Skeets several years ago at quite reasonable prices. I haven't seen much for sale since. My remaining 12 gauge solid rib matching two barrel skeet set is locked up at this time. I have to read the "book" and figure out what is wrong. My friends a...

Model 8F Premier Straight Grip

A really nice looking 8F without gold is offered at a UK auction this month with a 300BP estimate. It has a straight grip stock and is .35 Remington caliber. Do any of us know how to get these modern guns out of GB after buying them?
