Got a Model 11 with a small boat anchor stamped on the barrel, near the reciever. What is the signifigance of this?

EDIT: P.S., Don't forget the Savage 170 pump chambered in 35 Remington, as well as the Marlin 336, same caliber.

I know, that's why I'm curious. never heard of a 30 Remington in a lever action.
This one is clearly marked "30-30 Remington"
