M1871 Smoothbore...?

Post by rusty1933 »

Heyya Folks - new member here. Not an remington expert in any sense of the word so forgive me if I ask a real stupid question(s).

I've got a Rem R.B. pistol that has a smooth bore. I beleive that there were a handful of these made by special order...that's about all I know.

Does anyone know of a good resource book that could help me with this pistol?

Thanks!!!
Charlie

Thanks Blackhills - I'll check that book out. Hopefully they'll be a way to I.D. whether it's an original smooth bore.
