Reminton Model 590 5mm Single Shot

I have searched everyplace, even called Remington. I can find the 5mm Model 591 and the 5mm Model 592. but no referance to the Single Shot Model 590. Does anyone have one? Know about them? etc. I Found one locally the other day and tried to do some research on it. but other than the referance to the 590 on the old boxes of 5mm ammo. I could not find any more information. I would also like to know what it might be worth, as the guy had mentioned maybe selling it. Initially I was not interested in it, being a single shot, but now I am intrigued.

Any help or information would be appreciated.

Was the gun actually stamped 590? I have a factory picture of one, but never saw one personally.

I have no pictures as the current owner decided not to sell the gun so I was not able to purchase it.
