Remington Targetmaster 510

Post by Donoman »

When I picked up the fieldmaster I also got this Targetmaster. It is pretty beat up buy appears to work. The barrel is nice as I look down it but the outside has taken a beating. I was unsure what Model number it was due to one strategic dent that took off the number but it has all the character of a 510 unless I'm missing something. This one dates to 1940. I have the chance to get another barrel if I want, one that is not as beat up. It is a couple years newer. I kinda like the character this one has but I'm always tempted.
Anything else I should know about this great 22?

I certainly would not change barrels if the bore is good. The character of your Rem would change. The well-used stock wouldn't look right with a nicer barrel.
