Remington 721ac and 721adl

Hi Was the gun's the same? Was the checkering the same? Why was it changed from ac to adl? Any pictures of checkering on the the later 721adl. I am looking at a adl next week. thanks for the help. Thanks Rem1894

I have most every Remington catalog/brochure/price list that there was from the 1950's and it appears that they changed the name from AC and B grades to ADL and BDL in 1955. From the literature and my own experience, there isn't any difference. I suspect they just wanted to incorporate the "Deluxe" moniker (as in, A-Deluxe, and B-Deluxe, which is what the ADL and BDL acronyms mean). The only difference between the two grades was the quality of the wood. Here's my 1952 722AC as a reference:

Hi Thanks for the help and picture. I have a 722b also made in 1952 , it is in 222Rem. The sling swivels were different on later gun's correct? Rem1894
