I just purchased a used 572 with the high-gloss BDL stock. The stock came with three pretty obvious dings and I would like to find a place to have them removed/repaired. If someone can recommend a repair source, please tell me.
I would also like to obtain a 'duty' stock set for the rifle. I swear that the BDL-finished stock set is so pretty that I know I will not take the rifle to the range for fear of causing additional dings. Accordingly, I would like to acquire a less-beautiful stock set that will work great and be less of a worry. Again, if anyone knows of a source for this kind of a stock, please advise.
Thanks all.

Re: "Duty" stock for Remington 572
i have a 20 ga 870 shotgun stock on my 572 because the factory stock s to high at the comb for my scope. so any 870 20ga stock will work but the drop is a little more than the 572 factory stock.
boyds stocks should have a 20 ga 870 stock.
good luck,
Bull
