Model 8- experts please help

Hello,

Planning to buy by first model 8. My local dealer has a model 8 in .35 rem. the bolt does not stay open on an empty magazine.

Is this a minor problem or a major issue, otherwise the gun is in good condition.

Any help will be appreciated.

Sounds like the Bolt Hold Open Mech is damaged.

Since there is little replacement parts available I would walk away from it and find one that doesn't need anything.
