Took my M700 in to a shop which is a Remington authorized service center. Gun was built about 1973. I couldn't get the trigger pull below about 5#.
The shop said "How about we put in a new trigger, adjust it to your specs (3.5#) while you wait, and charge you $15?"
Apparently it may be some sort of recall, but still applies to a 40 year old rifle?
Anyone else experienced this?

Re: M700 Trigger
I just put in a new tuned trigger, it was aftermarket. Looking for the right pull. Works great. Tinney I think. got it to 3.5lb
