Model 4 rolling block .22 cal

Post by Chip »

First off, Hello everybody.
I have been offered a Model 4 rolling block .22 cal rifle.
I have only seen some pictures and I know NOTHING about this model firearm.
He states it came out of a collection of old Remington 22's, Rolling Blocks , pumps etc.
The rifle in question he states has no serial number because it was a "Store Display Model"
I am aware firearms were not required to be serial numbered until 1968 but every thing I can find says the Model 4 should be serial numbered.
Does anybody have any Knowledge of a Store Display Model????
Thanks in advance
Chip

P.S. It is a take down model with a knurled knob

Wouldn't be the first time I've heard of a model 4 without a serial no and regardless if it does or not has ZERO effect as to value in my opinion, it's all about condition, condition, and condition.

Put you boots on when he talks about the "Store Display Model" it's getting real deep.
