Remington 721 in 280

Post by rem1894 »

Was the Remington model 721 in 280 made with a 22in barrel and not the 24in barrel like my 30.06 and 270 etc.

While being the rarest caliber produced, I can find no evidence that they were ever built with a 22" barrel.

I just found out the late made model 721 in 270, 280 and 30.06 would have been made with 22in. barrels on them.

You caught me again! You are correct. Slipped my mind that when the rear site was made to be attached with screws, the barrels fell in line with the 725s, being lightened and removing the rear site boss. 2nd time in a week I've been owned!
