Model 14 correct parts

Post by Viking »

I recently purchased a 1912 model 14 in .32 caliber. It has the incorrect butt plate . I would like if someone could help. Also not sure if rear site is correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Post a picture of the rifle and we can tell you quickly.

Many/most of the early rifles had a logo bakelite butt plate and a standard or buckhorn wheel sight.

I can't see much and the picture is distorted, it looks to be a semi-crescent butt plate and if it is factory it was standard on many rifles. The semi-crescent plate came in two styles, one that was smooth with the Remington-UMC circle logo on it and the other with just serrations.

If you could post pics taken from the back and both sides it would be helpful. Sorry, my camera sucks as well, and I do poorly with new technology.

Happy New Year
