Identyfying a Remington 700 bolt

Does anyone know if a Remington Model 700 bolt is marked in any way as to assure that it goes with the rifle it is in? If it is marked how is it marked: is the S/N on the bolt or a partial S/N on the bolt or some other stamping? Thanks.

Yes usually the last few digits are stamped on the bottom of the bolt. You may have to remove the bolt from the gun to see them.
