Remington model 10

Will this shotgun use the 2 3/4 shell? Any other info on this shotgun would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you can help me out - I just bought a Remington MODEL 10 from a friend. Serial # 263246
I would appreciate any information you can give me on this very nice shotgun (size shell to use, etc.)

Markings:

Barrel, right side: "REP" (in an oval) with an anchor stamped beneath
Barrel, left side: "MOD +"
"OU" then a sunburst stamp to the right


Barrel, Top: REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC., REMINGTON ILION WORKS, ILION.
N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. PATENTED FEB. 3, 1903 AND MAY 16, 1905

Receiver, Left: Remington
Trade Mark

MODEL 1O

No stamping on right side of reciever

"OU"barrel code puts production date at July 1927. If you go to Remington.com you can search for history and register to get a copy of a manual for your gun. That site also gives a short list of production information.
