Re: 1100 FW 410
Thanks for the link, it did give more info., yet I still don't know production numbers, etc.
I contacted Rem. Arms, they attempted to look it up, but could find no production records?? Is this normal for Rem. Arms?
If any one has more info than the article in link, please share.

Re: 1100 FW 410
That is absolutely typical for Remington. They do not keep up with breakdown by gauge or anything else, just total number produced by model.
What could have happened... did.
Re: 1100 FW 410
Let me try this again, I thought I had the correct production date, it was the date given me by the previous owner. Instead it was the approx. date of purchase.
The shotgun is a 25", full choke .410, 1100 LW plastic shells only, with what appears to be the mahogany wood, scrolled: bolt, receiver(both sides), stock and forearm.
On the left side of the barrel it is marked:6 CA 38-does the CA mean April, 1980?
Again thanks for the help to date, I'll try to up load some pics later.

Re: 1100 FW 410
With the serial number and the barrel code you can come close. At least you can determine if the barrel could have come with the gun. Assuming of course it has a date code. Many have no code.
What could have happened... did.
Re: 1100 FW 410
The guy I bought it from was the original owner, and is a friend of mine. He said it was all original.
