1100 Lt 20 barrel question

Post by Bagpiper »

I recently became the proud owner of an 1100 Lt 20 made around 1984 with a modified fixed choke, and I am wondering whether or not I can replace the barrel with one that accepts different chokes, or would it be better to have a gunsmith thread my barrel.

Thanks,
Virginian

A standard LT 20 Remchoke barrel will fit, but it will likely be cheaper to have your existing barrel threaded. I would not bother unless it has a vent rib. I will vouch for Mike Orlen or Briley for choke tube installations. There may be others as good, but I have dealt with them and I know they're good.
What could have happened... did.

Thank you, sir. I appreciate the information. And it does have the vent rib.
