It never ceases to amaze me the latitude the engravers had when engraving F Grade guns. Gun 999 (Loy??), the 1938 F Grade 32 shown on page 118 of McIntosh's book BEST GUNS and the F Grade that Little John's Auction sold in 2010 (see photos) are all different. As well, the Gold F Grades differ; the Ennis guns have two dogs per side whereas the Runge guns have only one. Unlike guns of the later half of the 20th century it seems that most F Grade 32s are a 'one of a kind' masterpiece.
