The New Remington V3

Post by Virginian »

A brief report. I know the NRA isn't known for the most unbiased reporting, but there are other reports out there from reputable sources too, and they all give it very, very good reviews. Some are even heralding it as a game changer. I find myself genuinely excited about a Remington shotgun for the first time since 1962.

The thing that really excites me about the V3 is that it doesn't have anything hanging out of the back of the receiver, which could open up a ton of options. If the V3 proves successful, I don't think it'll be long before either Remington or some aftermarket company comes out with an adapter to allow for the installation of 870-style stocks and AR-15 buffer tubes/pistol grips. I'm also hoping to see a bullpup version or chassis kit at some point.

Fingers crossed that Remington saw fit to use the same magazine tube thread on the V3 as on the 870/1100/11-87, so we can have the same plethora of magazine extensions to choose from.
