Hello, All
I'm new to the boards and collecting the Remington model 11 shotguns and finding them quite interesting. I have come across a couple of them with the serial numbers 106604 (1910) and serial number 125676 (1911) I do believe the dates are correct if i did my homework right(correct me if I'mwrong). I'm looking to find out what butt stocks and forearm stocks are correct for these years. Anyone with pictures or idea's would be great. Also does anyone recommend a book for reading and identifying the different makes.
Thank you
John

Re: Stock types for model 11 Remington
Probably the best thing to do is assemble a collection of the Remington catalogues (or reprints) from the years the Model 11 was being offered. The "Remington Autoloading Gun" first appears in a brochure dated 1905-6 and in the 1906 Remington Arms Co. catalogue.
Here are some pages from the Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co. 1913-14 catalogue --
From the 1910 catalogue --

Re: Stock types for model 11 Remington
Thank you very much for the pictures. That is what I needed to see. One of my guns has a pistol grip stock and the other one has the knob style grip. So I assume the pistol style stocks are wrong for a 1910 or 1911 year gun.
Thank you

Like the catalog photos. Have a 83XXX 1910 model.
