Does anyone know if these guns were offered with a hard breakdown case? or did you have to have one made when you bought one?
i see lots of english and euro SxS 's that have them, and i would really love to find one for my 1894.
am i looking for something that doesn't exist?

None of the Remington Arms Co. catalogues from 1894 thru 1907 offer any gun cases. That said, I sure that if a customer was ordering a C- or higher grade Remington Hammerless Double and wanted a case with it RAC would come up with one. The Remington Arms Co. 1908, 1908-09 and 1909 catalogues had this page of cases.
In The Double Gun Journal, Volume Nine, Issue 2, Charles Semmer has an article on a late EE-Grade 16-gauge that went to Benjamin Torres in Mexico with a 12K leather case.
