Model 51 date?
Model 51 date?
I have a .380 Model 51, serial # PA 5388. Can someone tell me when it was made or any other background info on this gun?? Thanks
Re: Model 51 date?
Your Gun was made in 1919 the second year of production. As to the stogy of this gun I suggest you purchase one of the books shown on the Home page of this site on History of Remington and it will tell the story of this Pistol. Jay Huber RSA
Re: Model 51 date?
How about serial #pa44366? Mine has no date codes to go by.
Re: Model 51 date?
1922, just shy of date codes...
Re: Model 51 date?
Your Gun was made in 1926 Jay Huber
Re: Model 51 date?
Hum, my chart says 1922 ended with PA44527
Re: Model 51 date?
I misread my records, you are right. Why did you bother us if you have the list? Jay Huber
Re: Model 51 date?
thank you guys. would an older date bring a premium price over a later production model?
Re: Model 51 date?
How about a date for mine? PA10320. It's a .380 I guess it's 1919.

Re: Model 51 date?
I have a model 51 with the serial number PA1537, do you know when it was made?
Re: Model 51 date?
Recently acquired a very nice Remington Model 51. Serial number PA9300. Anybody have ideas as to probable manufacture date? Presume 1919 but would like to be sure. Thanks for any assistance.
Re: Model 51 date?
Upon further research, I have been told that Reminton only made the first 25 Model 51s in 1918. Therefore, serial numbers PA26 through PA22991 were 1919, all in .380ACP.
Re: Model 51 date?
I have a Remington Model 51 in .380 with a serial number of 53569 and I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me when it was manufactured. I really love this gun, it's the best feeling gun in the hand that I've ever experienced and my wife and daughter love to shoot it! Thanks!!
