Who Da Man?

Post by elmbow »

NambuJim, he da man!

My "new" model 14 ( 1918 vintage), 35 Rem was having some misfire issues, symptoms were light primer hits. After some back and forth, I sent Jim the bolt along with some fired casings. He R&R'd the bolt, and installed a longer firing pin spring, and had it back to me, all in about one week's time, (across country I might add).

I highly recommend Jim to anyone seeking gunsmithing services on the Model 14's. Knowledgeable, friendly, reliable.

Thanks to Jim my "new" cedar/pinyon deer/elk rifle has a coolness factor that pegs a Bo Derek "10".

And as a bonus, he informed me that if my Lyman 38 had an R14 stamped on its backside, it was made for the model 14. Mine does;)

Cudos to NambuJim.

No doubt about it. Jim is one in a million. Great guy and a whiz with the m14. He has bailed several of us out of a "jam".

Tonk - Just look around for Nambujim on this forum. He lives in NC and is good beyond good when it comes to working on these rifles. Find his profile and send him a PM.
