Help with speedmaster 241

Hello all,
I was recently given a Speedmaster 241 which was my great grandfathers gun. Problem being it came in bits and pieces. I have for the most part reassembled it and cleaned and polished it up. Therein lies the problem... I am left with two pieces. I know I am missing a spring that should fit in place for the barrel take down button I am guessing this is it? but I have no idea where this pin goes to. I have searched for a good schematic everywhere but most are fuzzy and obscure. Looking for a little guidance on this thanks. Front sight in Picture for size comparison. Im gonna need some hand holding on this as I am totally stuck right now.
