Rem. 44-90 2 7/16" BN

Post by Boge »

I would appreciate some info on this cartridge as it appears I have a rifle chambered for it & will be ordering some brass. My rifle is not new, but rather a gunsmith made a reamer off an original Rem. Creedmore specs. (he owns the original). He told me that the reamer was 44-77 but that is not the case (no pun intended). It is close to 2.4375", which is 2 7/16".

Sounds more to a 44-90 to me which is a case of approx 2.44" long and a .442 bullet on it..

Maybe this helps...

Cheers,
