I will be including pictures of the rifle. It was given to me by my father along with other rifles. We went on many many hunting trips, always he would say "Wait let me show you one more time", he'd fill both tags with monster bucks. I will include one picture of a record buck also. He passed 3 weeks ago.
I would like to know more about this rifle if anyone could help I would be grateful.
I have one good picture of the rifle for now I'll take more of the serial number if needed but for now here is the info: Remington .243 WIN AO 85 A6423666 Mohawk - 600 purchased by my father in 1957. His favorite and his first.

The date code of "A O" tells us the month and year it was built.
The prefix "A" in the serial number tells us it was built between 1975 and 1980.
