New to forum - New owner Remington 788 44 Magnum

Hello from Canada
Just wanted to join the Board to get acquainted with folks who still own a 788.
I hunted with a 44 magnum as kid many decades ago and Dad sold the rifle.
I found one a few weeks ago which will need to be cleaned up, stock done, Timney trigger installed.
A gunsmith had one sitting in the back of his shop and he was retiring so I bought it for a great price.
It needs a trigger due to damage to the original. It sat in his personal guncase for 30 years...
The bones are near perfect, great rifling, bore excellent.
He cleaned it twice a year abut never bothered to do the trigger as he had arthritis.
Just a shout out to any other owners of this rare beast.
