model 721

Post by VNV26 »

My 721 has no barrel codes stamped on it. Only a roman V. And the club inspection stamp. The stock and the reciever have a 5 stamped. Also the magazine cover has a 5 and externally 721. The serial number is 100,000 marked on the reciever and the bolt. The stock is engraved and stamped 5. Any information regarding date of manufacture would be appreciated.

Sounds interesting. Got detailed pictures?

sn 100,000 is between
721 270 E UU 10/49 930XX
721-270 A WW 3/50 1140xx

My imagination runs wild over it being number "100,000"

Thanks for your reply. It seems this rifle and I were manufactured at about the same time. The stock has checkering , the trigger is not flat, and it has a Pachymauer basket weave recoil pad. I wonder if it was custom from the factory.
