I have researched, longed for, and coverted this pistol for a long time and finally found a nice one in .380 ACP on one of the internet auction sites. The serial #177XX indicates a type one with the nine vertical serations built perhaps 1918/1919??
The reviews I have read are always favorable, but mention a couple of weaknesses. Does anyone have any experience with this fine pistol that might shed some light on it's history and/or preformance? Thanks - Bob
I had to give you a hard time... Today was the best day we've had so far this month; 75 degrees and almost no wind. Good luck with your 550s. Sounds like the last one was a real find...
Yes, and did you notice, no hole for a deflector!!! It's my second 550-P both PK's, but the first one does not compare with this one. I think yours is a PK (June 1941) also? Do you have any idea as to the first month they were made?
