Need help identifying 22 cal Derringer

Can anyone help me id this pistol and give an idea of manufacture date? My Dad has past it down to me. He brought it second hand 45 years ago.

Looks like a Lombard, Morgan & Clapp, or Bacon Arms pistol that has been remarked. There is no known instance of a pistol like this being made or marketed by Remington.

Definitely looks like a Bacon to me, serial would be on base of butt...

Thanks for the help. Merwin and Bray also made some like this. There is a serial number on the butt, so it may be a Bacon. I'm begining to think someone may have decided to take their no name pistol and make it more valuable by stamping "Remington" on it.
